Ren and Stimpy Candy

While I was a fat kid who liked eating candy, I still wanted to keep anything in my obsession realm in mint condition. Here we have a product of my early to mid-90s obsession, Ren and Stimpy. These plastic heads were filled with gum. Well, they’re still full, but I’m not so sure it would be considered gum anymore. Yes,...

Little Shop of Horrors Trading Cards

One of my favorite movies is Little Shop of Horrors, starring Rick Moranis, so naturally I have a couple packs of Little Shop of Horrors trading cards kicking around. These were released in 1986 from Topps. And yes, those wrappers still hold their stick of bubble gum. I really should start throwing things away.

Home Alone: The Game

“Oh, no!  We left Kevin home alone and the only thing to do is play that awful board game!”  This game has been sitting on my closet shelf for nearly a decade.  Home Alone is one of my favorite movies, so when I stumbled across the board game at a thrift store, I had to have it.  Unfortunately, the fun...

Kool-Aid of Years Gone By

In the 1990s, I collected many things. One of those things happened to be old Kool-Aid. While I drank most of it back then (most regrettably my Purplesaurus Rex—wish I would have left one packet of that), some memorable flavors are still around in my collection. Today, I’m featuring my favorites. Here we have two different packets of Incrediberry—the original...

Ms. Pac-Man Board Game

This is a little treat I picked up at a thrift store quite a few years ago. Don’t let the yard sale tag fool you though, I’m pretty sure I paid less than $3 for this bad boy. I’m not sure what made Milton Bradley think the Pac-Man concept would transfer well to the board game sector– it’s tedious to...

Sailor Moon Pasta

The pride and joy of the North York, Ontario Heinz plant is this here can of Sailor Moon pasta, a 1997 vintage. This includes pasta representations of the Sailor Scouts, Luna, Tuxedo Mask, and Queen Beryl, all in a tasty tomato sauce. For being 15 years old, the can is in pretty good shape, but it is showing some rust...

ALF Burger King Puppet

Did you know running a pop culture site can make your friends suspicious? It’s true. Recently, I was visiting some friends when something fuzzy caught my eye. At first, I thought it was a giant cat hairball. No, it wasn’t a hairball. I squinted in disbelief when I realized what it was: A Burger King ALF puppet! I asked to...

Nintendo Bike Cop

The Nintendo Bike Cop is an enigma wrapped in a mystery covered in confusion with a side of “huh!?”.  If you search around online, you won’t find much about this product.  When I was in third grade, I bought this from a shady mall that was notorious for selling no-box merchandise.  I guess this one fell off the back of...

Orbitz: Blueberry Melon Strawberry Cucumber Battlefield Earth

We’ve dug way back into our dark past for this one—all the way back to 1997. This is a (thankfully empty) bottle of Blueberry Melon Strawberry Orbitz. For those of you who have willfully forgotten this beverage, it was a clear “juice” with little balls floating around in it. This one happened to have pink balls before I drank them....

The Real Ghostbusters Sleeping Bag

Check out this TOTALLY LEGIT The Real Ghostbusters sleeping bag. How do I know it’s legit? Well, it has a copyright-looking blurb in the corner. If that’s not credibility in action, then I don’t know what is. Notice the elegant attention to detail in capturing all elements of the franchise. Slimer with his tongue flopping out, the marshmallow man in...
