Posted by

Remember when Saturday mornings were worth getting up for? While we can’t provide a four-hour block of programming, here’s some retro news you may have missed (or simply want to revisit) from the past week.

Saturday Morning Programming:

Book Learnin’:

R.L. Stine is releasing new Fear Street books! The first, Party Games, will be released September 30. Five more are on the way! Our favorite Fear Street book? Haunted, because it has a “Weird Al” reference!

Levar Burton and Reading Rainbow are publishing a book– The Rhino Who Swallowed a Storm, available October 7.

Tee Vee:

Finally, a show we give a damn about is getting a reboot! Amazon is looking to reboot The Tick, and creator Ben Edlund confirmed that this is something he’s pursuing! Aw yis. We’re hoping for a heavy Batmanuel series!

Movie-Related Reunions:

The Little Rascals’ Cast Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Reunion Photo Shoot. It’s been 20 years. Bet you feel old.

In Case You Missed It:

Linz interviewed the makers of the upcoming Nintendo Power Glove documentary The Power of Glove. Lots of great tidbits of Power Glove trivia in this one! And wahoo– their Kickstarter was funded!
