Saturday Morning Recap: Vol. 34

Posted by

Remember when Saturday mornings were worth getting up for? While we can’t provide a four-hour block of programming, here’s some retro news you may have missed (or simply want to revisit) from the past week.

Saturday Morning Programming:

While Tom and Jerry Kids isn’t a show that’s met with a ton of nostalgia, I still find myself getting its theme stuck in my head on a weekly basis.

The New Kids on the Block are getting their own reality show and OMG Jonathan Knight will you marry me? I mean, you know… whatever… dammit Linz, play it cool.

Video Games:

Atari game cartridges dug up from landfill fetch $37,000 on eBay. Damn, you know how many we have burried in our basements?

Real-life Mario Kart races down Tokyo streets. That Luigi is not giving a death stare. Does not check out.

Movies About Video Games:

Atari: Game Over, the E.T. cart burial documentary, is now streaming online for free on the Xbox site, you just need to dust off an old Hotmail account to register.

In Case You Missed It:

Linz checked out 6 Travel Board Games that are Awful if Actually Played While Traveling.

Lee closed up the week with his Back to the Future Fridays with more wacky theories.
